Visit Fort Worth
Our Historic Stockyards make Fort Worth one of the most unique places in the Country. From the Cattle Drive to live music and Cowboy Museums, you can easily get lost in the rich and vibrant culture of “Cowtown”.
- The World’s only twice daily Cattle Drive at the Stockyards. The Cattle Drive happens every day at 11:30am and 4:00pm. It is an experience you won’t want to miss out on. It’s also completely free to the public! The Old West Gunfight Shows happen every Friday-Sunday directly after the Cattle Drive at 11:45am and 4:15pm in the Stockyard Station.
- You can visit the Herd and Drovers at the Herd Experience on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) from 1:30pm to 2:30pm from their pens behind the Livestock Exchange building on East Exchange Avenue. This is also free!
- Historic Walking Tours of the Stockyards put on by the Stockyards Heritage group. They do tours Monday-Friday at 10am,12p, 2pm and additional tours on the weekend. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and $5 for children. Historic Walking Tour info can be found here.
- Billy Bob’s Texas the World’s Largest Honky Tonk. They also offer Lunch & Line Dance at High Noon on Saturdays. Free line dance lessons and 20% off lunch for dancers in the Honky Tonk Kitchen. Though, you can walk across the street to eat at Cooper’s BBQ as well. Or over at one of the dozen restaurants in the Stockyards.
- The Cowtown Coliseum has a year around rodeo hosted every Thursday-Sunday. This is great for everyone!
- See Roy Roger’s stuffed horse Trigger at the John Wayne Museum.
